Force Close Short-Sell Position

Initiates forced liquidation of a short-sell (securities-borrowing) position.

Request parameters

  • Required: aaid (securities account ID), counter_id (security), order_type (order type), submitted_quantity (buy-back quantity).
  • price is required unless order_type is MO (market order); rth (trading session) applies to limit orders (LO).
  • See the field definitions for each field's format, allowed values, and business meaning.

Business notes

Force-closes (buys back) short-sell positions that have triggered a recall, covering the short exposure.

Risk warning

This operation force-liquidates a real short-sell position and produces actual trades. It is irreversible. Verify the target position and parameters before calling.

Result

On success the short-sell forced liquidation is submitted; subsequent state and returned data follow the 200 response definition.
